Vishal Hegde born in a dedicated musical family, is a promising vocalist from the nest of 'Basavaraj Rajguru Parampara'. He received his initial training from his mother Smt Nagaveni Hegde who is a renowned Harmonium player in Karnataka.
He was attracted towards music at a very young age and is inspired by his father and Guru Pt Shripad Hegde (a noted disciple of Pt Ganapati Bhat Hasanagi and Padmabhushan Pt Basavaraj Rajguru) under whom he is currently seeking the guidance for Hindustani Vocal from last 16 years. Continuous practice and the perfect guidance from his father turned Vishal as a performer. He has been accompanying his father for vocal support across the country at very young age
Endowed with resonant and sonorous voice Vishal Hegde is a promising artiste who has a blend of Kirana and Gwalior gharanas. He has been granted B-High grade scale on Hindustani Classical Vocal and B Grade on Light Classical Music recently from All India Radio.
He has given various performances in Karnataka and Kerala namely Hindustani Kalakar Mandali, Saptak Bangalore, Yuva Mahotsav Dharwad, RamaKrishna Ashram Dharwad, Moon Light Music Festival Honnavar and many more. His vocal recitals are getting broadcasted from All India Radio many times. He admired by few legends of classical music and wants to follow their path.
Vishal Hegde is currently working as a Team Lead in NOKIA, Bangalore region.
